'I like St. James's because of the size. It is so small it is like we are one small happy family. We get attention that you don't get in other schools.
My favourite subjects are: English, Science ,Art and Games. The best thing though is that when we do any subject not just our favourites we are given individual help and guidance.
At St. James's we make friends easily. So that to the teachers, a Year 5 playing with a Reception pupil is an everyday sight.
I don't think some of the pupils know how lucky we are because we get individual attention and hand to hand guidance.
Another thing I like about St. James is that we are independent. Just because we are small it doesn't mean we miss out in things like school trips, for instance Year 5 in the Summer Term are going to Chartres, France. Year 5 have also been to Durham, Northumberland and Year 4 downward, went for a day Stockley Farm.'

'I enjoy coming to St. James because it is a school that has several things that other schools do not have.
Sanskrit is one of the languages we learn at this school. It is the oldest language known to Man. It is very easy to spell because you spell it how you say it. When you come to visit our school you will see a poster about Sanskrit .
In our daily Mathematics lessons I enjoy when we get on to extension type questions or problems. We sometimes receive Sanskrit sutras, they are short sentences in Sanskrit. We are doing algebra at the moment .
In drama we are acting out the play of Twelfth Night . I am Olivia , a countess in Illyria. Also in Art we are doing collages of our characters. Obviously, I am doing Olivia, Christopher is doing Orsino and Ellen is doing Viola. Ellen and Christopher are in my class, we are Year 5.
For a school trip for us, Year 5 , last year we went for a week to Durham, which is in North East England . We visited Durham Cathedral, Wet 'n' Wild and several other places. This year, 2009, we are going to Chartres in the summer term . I am really looking forward to a week in France!

'My favourite subject is art. In art we are making collages of certain characters from Twelfth Night : Orsino, Olivia, & Viola.
I have lots of friends in school. With there being only thirteen pupils in the school it is not easy to have no friends.
The school has a family atmosphere due to its small number of pupils. Therefore, it's no easy task to stand and sulk in a corner!'
