Curriculum
The curriculum reflects the natural needs of the young child. Every aspect of the child needs to be nourished: spirit, mind and body. In order that there is harmony of work, rest and play the day is well balanced. The education is carefully structured and systematic. The key point is the quality of material provided. Children are provided with the finest material. This ensures their growth.
The day begins with an assembly. This brings a unity to the whole school community. Academic work takes place mainly in the morning when a systematic and ordered education, with regular testing and examinations, is given to the mind in quiet and orderly conditions.
Afternoons are devoted to more active studies such as games, art/craft, music and drama. A straightforward and balanced education gives the child the stability, order and happiness they need to thrive.
The syllabus is a 'live' entity and not fixed in concrete. It is constantly updated as knowledge is acquired through practice and study.
The school offers a systematic education with regular testing and examinations at KS2 leading to children sitting Entrance Exams for local schools where appropriate.
